How Binoid Does THC Gummies Right

Maybe you’ve heard that you can buy delta 9 THC-infused gummies legally online. And, that it’s perfectly legal to do so. “Federally compliant” delta 9 is hemp-derived, and adheres to federal law, meaning that while it uses the same cannabinoid that makes marijuana illegal, you can buy it freely online without breaking the law. Binoid has the products you need.

Delta 9 gummies are quickly becoming the hottest items on the hemp market, to no one’s surprise. But, as you might have imagined, not all hemp-derived delta 9 THC gummies are going to give you high-quality ingredients, or even strong enough servings of the cannabinoid to get you high. Binoid’s delta 9 gummies remain some of the most sought-after on the hemp market, with 10mg of Live Resin Delta 9 each gummy. Not only that, but also are practically guaranteed to give you everything you could want out of a THC experience.

Binoid also carries other THC gummies, with amazing THC-O gummies and Delta 8 gummies that both come in 25mg strength. These THC gummies are great for beginners and experienced THC users alike. Try them using the code HIGHTIMES25 for 25% off your order with fast and free shipping from Binoid. One of the best brands in the THC space.

The New Hemp-Derived Delta 9 Gummies – Fully Legal and Ready to Enjoy!
So, how’s it that delta 9 THC is legal, anyway? Well, in 2018, the United States passed the Farm Bill, which effectively declared all hemp-derived products legal as long as they contain no more than 0.3% delta 9 THC—the key psychoactive in marijuana, which happens to exist in only trace amounts naturally in the hemp plant.

What this means is that delta 9 THC gummies are legal if they contain a maximum of 0.3% delta 9. Now, that may sound like it’s not a lot, until you consider gummies that are particularly large in size, which allow the 0.3% to come out to a meaningful number of milligrams—basically, enough to ensure the high that you know and love.

Because these gummies comply fully with federal law, there’s nothing stopping you from ordering them online and having them conveniently shipped to your home.

What Truly Makes Binoid’s Delta 9 THC Gummies a Staple in the Marketplace?
Binoid has been an industry leader since first launching CBD products years ago. In fact, Binoid has been at the forefront of advancements in cannabinoid research and discovery. Their collection of cannabinoids consists of pretty much every known psychoactive to exist in the hemp plant, and now they’ve proudly added delta 9 THC to their repertoire with their mouth-watering delta 9 gummies.

So, why are Binoid’s gummies dominating such a highly competitive market?

#1: Full Federal Compliance
Binoid has really gone above and beyond to fully comply with federal law when producing delta 9 gummies. Their gummies contain exactly 0.3% delta 9 THC per serving, by dry weight. In no way then, will they conflict with current legislation. Most hemp companies wouldn’t risk their business by selling illegal delta 9 gummies, but some have been caught trying to cut corners in order to make their gummies more potent, and breaking the law while doing so.

#2: Thorough Third-Party Testing
Pretty much any trustworthy company has their products lab-tested by a third party. After all, it’s what’s required of all manufacturers of hemp products. Binoid’s delta 9 gummies are tested by a state-authorized testing facility, where they’re checked for critical factors related to purity levels, federal compliance, contamination, potency, and the hemp-derived chemical compounds that end up in the final product. What matters is that Binoid makes these lab reports quite easy to find on their website, and ensures that they’re readable to anyone looking to verify the quality, safety, legality, and authenticity of the gummies that they’re about to buy.

#3: Effective Dosages
With federally compliant delta 9 THC being the new trend in the industry, you can expect that a lot of companies are releasing their own versions of delta 9 gummies, but many are opting for low-potency gummies that keep manufacturing costs down. The problem is that, as we all know, you’re not going to get very noticeable results if you’re only consuming a couple of milligrams at most. Binoid’s delta 9 gummies contain 10 milligrams of delta 9 per piece—plenty for a satisfying, long-lasting high—along with 50mg CBD (cannabidiol), which actually aids in delta 9’s absorption through synergy, while helping enhance the more soothing side of the psychoactive cannabinoid.

#4: Clean, Carefully Sourced, Vegan Ingredients
One of the most overlooked aspects of THC gummies is the non-hemp ingredients. But, you’d be surprised by how many companies sneak fillers and chemical additives into their gummies that most of us don’t want in our bodies. That’s why Binoid remains such a fan favorite for gummy lovers. Their gummies rely heavily on clean, plant-based ingredients acquired from ethical sources, and if that wasn’t enough, their gummies are fully vegan, using pectin rather than gelatin to get that classic texture.

#5: Big Flavor
Binoid’s gummies are crafted with freshly extracted natural ingredients, and even come in a tantalizing variety of options. Besides their mixed flavor option, you can choose from Black Raspberry, Mango Madness, and Fruit Punch, all of which hit the spot with big fruity flavor and lots of delicious sweetness.

#6: Simply Made Fresh
Binoid’s gummies also come with the advantage of being fresh, which means better flavor, better texture, and stronger delta 9 effects. Because of the brand’s high turnover rate, no bottle of gummies ever sits on the shelf for too long.

Binoid Delta 8 THC Gummies
If delta 9 THC is a little too potent for you, Binoid has another gummy formula for you—Binoid Delta 8 THC Gummies. These use delta 8 THC instead of delta 9, which is also federally legal, and is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in hemp that’s about 30% milder than delta 9. Delta 8 is known for its gentle, soothing and deeply relieving high, which can help you feel nice and relaxed after a long and stressful day. They also come in an awesome selection of flavors, accompanied with full lab-testing through the company’s website.

Speaking of flavors, Binoid Delta 8 Gummies come in a nice range of fruity sensations: Green Apple Candy, Peach Dream, Strawberry Bliss, and a mixed bottle so this way, you can find the flavor profile that meets your needs. Plus, our premium gummies are infused with Delta 8, instead of the regular low-end Delta 8 THC gummies that are sprayed and unhealthy.

Able to deliver a potent dose of 25 milligrams of Delta 8 THC per gummy, along with being fully vegan and even gluten-free, Binoid Delta 8 THC Gummies are the perfect fit for anyone’s daily regimen.

Binoid THC-O Gummies
Then, we have Binoid’s THC-O gummies, for those who crave a high that’s even stronger than what delta 9 THC can provide. THC-O-Acetate is an extremely popular hemp derivative that promises a high about 3x as psychoactive as delta 9. You’ll get to experience a powerful feeling of euphoria that edible lovers can’t get enough of it seems. These gummies are known for a high that is fun, happy, and many say partly psychedelic. For good times, these Binoid THC-O gummies are a great gummy to try.

As far as flavors go, you won’t be disappointed, Binoid THC-O Gummies are available in the following fruity delights: Blueberry Pie, Pina Colada, Sour Cherry Lime, and Mixed Flavors. And, just like Binoid Delta 8 THC Gummies, these premium and delicious gummies are infused with THC-O, instead of the regular low-end THC-O gummies that are sprayed and unhealthy. Just pure terpene flavors here for your hemp enjoyment!

Containing 25 milligrams of pure THC-O-Acetate per gummy, along with being totally vegan and gluten-free, you must add these amazing gummies to your daily routine today.

What are You Waiting For? Try the Binoid Difference and Finally Experience Legal Delta 9 THC Today!

HHC, THC-O, and THC-P: New Compounds in Cannabis

Remember when the only compound we associated with the hemp plant was cannabidiol (CBD)? While CBD remains a mainstay of countless people’s daily routines, the industry has evolved exponentially in the last several years, and the result has been a market and brands such as Binoid that now offers a wide array of cannabinoids that are both federally legal and rich in must-try properties, with many of them being delightfully psychoactive.

Binoid is one of the best brands in the new Delta 8 cannabinoid space. Make sure to check them out and use our code HIGHTIMES25 for 25% off your order and fast, free shipping to the entire United States. Now, let’s shed light on some of these newer cannabinoids and what they can offer.

Where do all of These Awesomely New Cannabinoids Keep Coming From?

We have a tendency to forget that there are, in fact, well over 100 individual cannabinoids found in any given sample of hemp. The majority of these cannabinoids are classified as minor, meaning that they exist in such trace levels that they seemingly have little impact on the plant’s properties and characteristics as a whole. But, to gloss over them would be a mistake, especially since we now have the technology to isolate and analyze them more thoroughly than ever before.

It’s because of today’s top brands such as Binoid as well as analysis methods, which largely revolve around liquid chromatography, that we’re able to both examine cannabinoids more effectively, and discover ones that up until now, we never knew existed. Pair that with the high demand for psychoactive hemp compounds that happen to be protected by federal law, and you can understand why we’re seeing one new cannabinoid enter the market after another.

Premium Hemp brands such as Binoid are known for having a large selection of cannabinoids such as Delta 8/10, Delta 9, HHC, HHC-O, THC-O, THC-P, and more! In fact, Binoid is one of the best brands to try these new compounds because of their amazing product selection, over 15,000 five star reviews, great customer service with 24/7 phone, email, and chat support as well as low prices on products and bundles. Binoid carries vape cartridges, gummies, tinctures, wax dabs, softgel capsules, and more that their loyal customers love.

HHC (Hexahydrocannabinol) is one of those more recent discoveries, found in the pollen and seeds of the hemp plant. It’s a hydrogenated cannabinoid that’s phenomenally stable, but what hemp enthusiasts find more exciting is the fact that it behaves as almost a mirror image of delta 9 because of striking similarities in its chemical structure.

HHC is a psychoactive cannabinoid that many say is just a little milder than delta 9 in terms of its high, and it seems to offer all of the other effects that we associate with delta 9 which have to do with nausea, mood, physical discomfort, appetite, and the like.

Courtesy of Binoid

To make HHC a little more potent to better match the psychoactive nature of delta 9, it can be combined with acetic anhydride, a reagent that can reconfigure the cannabinoid’s structure to enhance, in this case, the cannabinoid’s intoxicating qualities and create HHC-O (HHC-O-Acetate).  HHC-O products are about 1.5 times more intoxicating than HHC, which doesn’t sound like much, but it in fact noticeably improves the high for more customer satisfaction. HHC-O is thought to be the closest you can get to real Delta 9 THC.

Courtesy of Binoid

THC-O (THC-O acetate) is one of the better-known newer cannabinoids on the market, but in reality, it’s not actually new at all. Developed by the military in the mid-20th century, it was the original compound to be produced by combining a naturally occurring cannabinoid—in this case, THC—with acetic anhydride. THC-O products are three times as intoxicating as regular old delta 9, and that’s pretty potent, to say the least. Its high is extremely euphoric, and many say that the body high is out of this world. THC-O is known as the “psychedelic cannabinoid,” and its effects usually take 30 to 45 minutes to kick in.

Courtesy of Binoid

If you thought THC-O was a powerful psychoactive, wait until you get your hands on THC-P (tetrahydrocannabiphorol). This is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in extremely trace amounts in the hemp plant—so trace that it was only discovered a little over two years ago thanks to more advanced analysis methods. THC-P products are about 10 times as psychoactive as delta 9 THC, making it the strongest intoxicating cannabinoid that we know of so far. Like THC-O, its high seems to promise phenomenal levels of euphoria.

THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin) has actually been steadily researched since its discovery in 1973, but it’s only become a subgenre of the hemp market recently. THCV products are tricky because their high is only achievable after consuming a somewhat heavy dosage amount, and even then, the intoxicating effects are only mild.  But THCV has other tricks up its sleeve—primarily, it has been shown in studies to potentially regulate blood sugar, fat metabolization, and other metabolic processes.

Delta 8/Delta 10

Delta 8 and delta 10 THC have both been on the market for longer than the rest of these newer cannabinoids, but they remain big favorites among hemp enthusiasts as the cannabinoid market continues to grow and evolve. Delta 8 and delta 10 products are both about 70% as psychoactive as delta 9 THC. Delta 8 is known for its more relaxing effects, making it a great cannabinoid for evening. Delta 10, meanwhile, offers something of the opposite kind of high, offering an uplifting buzz that can give people a boost of motivation, focus, and even creativity.

Delta 9 THC

Delta 9 THC has arrived on the legal hemp market, being fully federally compliant by containing a maximum of 0.3% delta 9 per dry weight, which is exactly what the law allows. But, don’t be fooled by that low percentage—federally compliant delta 9 comes in the form of gummies and edibles that contain large enough portion sizes that the 0.3% comes out to a meaningful amount, which in our case is 10 milligrams per piece—plenty to give you the high that you’re looking for. Legal delta 9 gummies such as Binoid’s come with a full spectrum entourage of compounds such as CBC, CBG, CBN, and more.

Then, we have the non-psychoactive cannabinoids—CBDA and CBGA, or cannabidiolic acid and cannabigerolic acid, respectively. These cannabinoids are actually CBD and CBG in their raw, pre-decarboxylated forms—in other words, they’re what you’d consume if you were to eat the raw flowers of hemp rather than smoking or vaporizing them. These raw cannabinoids have been shown to offer a lot of value, which is fascinating, since we’ve always been told that cannabinoids aren’t worth much until they’ve been heated to a certain temperature, which “activates” their key properties.

CBDA and CBGA have been researched to a surprising extent over the years, and they’re seeing a huge surge in demand thanks to a recent study, done only in January of this year, showing that when taken together, they can bond to virus spike proteins and restructure it to prevent it from absorbing into cells of the body, giving it the stunning potential to prevent the virus from entering the lung tissue.

Product Review: Golden Goat Sour Diesel Sativa THC-O Disposable

Welcome, fellow cannabinoid lovers! When it comes to inhalables, many brands utilize the flavors of familiar cannabis strain to attract a broader market. Today’s product review revolves around two powerful strains, one as the brand name and one as the actual flavor profile: the Sour Diesel THC-O disposable by Golden Goat! Sour Diesel has been beloved by cannabis and hemp users alike, but how exactly does this sativa strain present in a THC-O product? Keep reading to find out! But before we dive headfirst into the skunky clouds produced by this disposable, let’s take a moment to go over the Golden Goat brand and all they have to offer.

Here at CBD Testers, we love products! We love to try them and share what we learned with our readers. Head over to our “Best-of” lists to get these deals, and remember to enjoy responsibly!

The Golden Goat Brand

The Golden Goat website had a very simple yet classy design that grew more intriguing with every click. The site had a very strong CBD theme, which was surprising given that the brand name is derived from a famous cannabis strain. The tabs on the top of the page were a little glitchy and did not allow me to hover my mouse over the categories, but instead prompted me to click on the Shop tab. Only then was I able to browse the site according to several categories: cannabinoid, product type, function, strength, and others. A “find your product” search bar allowed me to search for the one product I didn’t see listed in any of the categories…THC-O products.

The THC-O section was filled with exciting products like gummies, doobies, and of course, disposable vape devices. I clicked on the latter and was delighted to see a full-blown explanation of the cannabinoid in the product description, along with crisp images of the both the packaging and actual product. There were eight unique flavors available, each priced at a $44.99. When I clicked on the flavor of the product in today’s review (Sour Diesel), I was a bit disappointed to see that there was no information about the flavor, expected effects, or even ingredient list, only an updated product image.

While the site seemed a bit unfinished, there were many redeeming qualities. I appreciated the “Quiz Me” option on the home page that helped the first-time user know what to choose. The site’s CBD 101 section offered a wealth of information about common questions about the hemp and cannabinoid industry. Golden Goat also offers an extensive list of the lab results conducted on all their products, located in the upper right corner in a tab titled Lab Reports. The site was filled with stunning pictures, customer testimonials, and helpful categories that made browsing very simple. Aside from the entire THC-O section being painfully absent from the site’s categories, there was much to be enjoyed from browsing through all that the Golden Goat site had to offer. Speaking of THC-O products, it’s time for the highly anticipated review of the Sour Diesel THC-O Disposable!

Sour Diesel THC-O Disposable by Golden Goat Product Review

There were several features about the Sour Diesel THC-O Disposable that surprised me. The package came in a beautifully designed paper box that gave operating instructions on the back. The device operates very similar to a traditional vape mod; click on the firing button five times to unlock. This was my first surprise, as most disposables come without any buttons and are activated simply by inhaling. My second surprise was that the device featured a type-C charging port. Again, traditional disposables feature a micro-USB port. My final surprise wasn’t that great of a surprise, but more of a nuisance. Instead of a large opaque rubber stopper, this disposable had a very small black rubber stopper that blended in with the device color. I tried to activate the device twice before realizing the stopper was still firmly plugged into the device. After I had removed the stopper, I left the device to charge for a few minutes before attempting to take a proper hit.

The large circular firing button was simple to use and after five rapid clicks, the device was ready to use. I cautiously took my first hit and instantly recognized the sharp piney flavor along with a strong grassy taste as the renowned Sour Diesel strain. I felt a sharp burning sensation in my chest and back of my throat, which instantly made me cough. The strong scent filled the room with its acrid and grassy scent and I had to open a window to purge the room of the overpowering smell. I ended up taking a few sips of water to soothe the burning in my throat and relieve the heavy pressure in my chest, which definitely seemed to help. I took a total of four hits, trying to be gentle with my inhales to avoid a coughing fit but still inhale enough for the effects to kick in. There is no recommended dose, so be sure to start off slowly if this is your first time using a THC-O product.

Experiencing the Effects of the THC-O High

I felt the effects kick about five minutes after I had taken my fourth and final hit. My eyelids felt heavy and started to droop, but due to the strain being a sativa blend, I did not feel drowsy or sleep. I experienced a delightful tingling in my hands, feet, chest, and face. I descended into a dreamy euphoria of relaxation and after about ten minutes, I was thoroughly high. My vision was clear but I felt as though I was floating through a mental fog. I felt slightly weighted but not the traditional couch-lock from indica strains. My tongue clung to the roof of my mouth and I detected a very light dry mouth. I enjoyed the cool and refreshing sensation of ice-cold water and was delighted to discover an enhanced sense of taste. I also felt an enhanced sense of touch as well, no doubt due to the tingling of the intense body high.

I enjoyed the high for quite some time, never once feeling overwhelmed or paranoid. Despite this being a THC-O product, which has been reported to be quite a bit stronger than Delta-8 THC products, I felt incredibly relaxed and comfortable. I was able to drift into a deep and refreshing sleep, from which I awoke the following morning with only fragments of the high remaining. I like to call these lingering effects upon waking a “hangover high,” and this particular hangover high only lasted for about half an hour before completely fading.

The THC-O Sour Diesel Sativa Disposable by Golden Goat was a delightful treat to review. I’m a huge fan of anything Sour Diesel, which is quite a favorite amongst most cannabis and hemp users. The device was very modern, utilizing a type-C charging port and sporting a large firing button that made operating the device very easy. The scent and flavor were spot-on and the effects began extremely quickly. I appreciated the beautiful design of both the device and the product packaging, though I felt like the company website could use a few adjustments. Overall, this was a fantastic product to try and I was honored to share it with you today.

Have you tried any other product from the Golden Goat brand, either CBD, Delta-8 THC, or THC-O? What are some of your preferred THC-O brands and products? Don’t be shy, share your experiences in the comments with the rest of us! In the next review, I’ll be returning to a cannabinoid that I reviewed extensively in past reviews: HHC. HHC is considered the middle ground between CBD and Delta-8 THC, offering a smooth yet not quite as powerful high as the latter. The product in question is the Mimosa HHC vape cartridge from CannaAid. If you’re a fan of vape cartridges and are curious to see the effects of an HHC high, I look forward to seeing you in the next review!

What is THC-O?

THC-O is short for THC-O-Acetate, or THC Acetate/ATHC. Most of the time, you’ll see it written as THC-O or ATHC. It’s important not to confuse ATHC with THCA. In the case of tetrahyrdocannabinolic acid, or THCA, the A stands for acid (not acetate like with ATHC). THCA is the parent molecule of THC, found in raw plants that have not yet been decarboxylated.

THC-O is a synthetic cannabinoid that can only be produced in a lab. While it may be tempting to try and make some at home, the process can be volatile and dangerous, so it’s best left to the chemists. In short, THC-O is an analog of THC, meaning is has a similar chemical structure but, as is the case in chemistry, minor changes often lead to substantial differences.

Because it’s an artificially produced cannabinoid, what you see is what you get – meaning all you get is THC-O and none of the beneficial terpenes and flavonoids that are found in natural extracts. With THC-O, you do not get to benefit from the entourage effect. This is an obvious issue for purists and whole-plant advocates, but when it comes to pharmaceutical formulations, isolated cannabinoids are always preferred.

The purity of distillates means that 1 milligram of concentrated oil measures out to just about 1 milligram of cannabinoid, whereas 1 milligram of full-spectrum plant extract might have 0.5 milligrams of THC, 0.3 milligrams of CBD, and 0.2 milligrams a combination of other terpenes and compounds. This makes distillates very easy to use for specific dosing and product production.

How THC-O is Made

Let’s talk a bit more about the THCA and THC-O connection. I have already covered the difference between the two (acid vs acetate), now it’s time to discuss how THCA can be converted to THC-O. Again, it’s a complex chemical process that should only be attempted by experienced chemists, this is NOT something that can be done safely at home.

In raw cannabis plants, cannabinoids are found in carboxylic acid from. Carboxylic acids are any of class of organic compounds in which a carbon atom is bonded to a hydroxyl group via a single bond, and to an oxygen atom by a double bond. When exposed to heat, the compounds lose their carboxylic acid groups and become the cannabinoids most consumers are familiar with.

Carboxylic acid and hydroxyl groups are both polar and hydrophilic, meaning small amounts of THCA (or any other cannabinoid acid) are water soluble. Using two chemicals – sulfuric acid and acetic anhydride – the conversion can begin. Summarized, the process goes like this: THCA + heat > D9 + sulfuric acid + acetic anhydride = THC-O Acetate. When THCA is converted to THC-O, the polar C-OH becomes C-O-CH2C=O-CH3. The carboxylic acid group is hydrolyzed by the heating with the sulfuric acid, which then reacts with excess anhydride to produce acetic acid. This acid reacts with regular THC at the hydroxyl group and becomes the potent THC-O-Acetate.

To reiterate, sulfuric acid and acetic anhydride are both very corrosive and hazardous chemicals that should not be in the hands of amateurs and everyday consumers. Attempting this process at home is incredibly risky.

South Dakota Officially Regulates Delta-8, HHC, and THC-O-A

The whole cannabinoid issue has gotten more intense now that Shopify has banned anything that violates the law, likely at the behest of the US government. But in some places, it’s understood that regulating might be a better option than making these compounds illegal. Case in point: South Dakota through a new bill, now officially regulates cannabinoids delta-8, HHC, and THC-O-A.

South Dakota just passed a bill that regulates delta-8 and other cannabinoids by age. How the state will account for other issues of additives and processing has not been stated. We are an independent publication covering everything important in the cannabis field, and you can keep current by subscribing to the THC Weekly Newsletter. This will give you access to premiere deals on products like vapes, edibles, and other paraphernalia, as well as offers on your favorite cannabinoid products like HHC-O, Delta 8Delta 9 THCDelta-10 THCTHCOTHCVTHCP HHC, which are in our “Best-of” lists. Remember… *If you do not prefer to use cannabinoid products, we don’t advise that you do. There are plenty of products in the world of cannabis, and each person should only use what they are comfortable with.

What’s the deal with the cannabinoid market?

The cannabinoid market is an entire market that functions federally illegally at the moment, but under some marketing-pushed misconception that the products are legal. And to be fair, they’re not illegal based on their own dangerous capabilities, since none of the cannabinoids themselves have shown danger. They’re illegal simply because the government hasn’t legalized them, and because of this, a strange black market has opened, which, without regulation, has becomes a rather dirty market.

The cannabinoid market is rather new, coming into being as a side-effect of the 2018 US Farm Bill, which specifically legalized the cultivation and production of industrial hemp, and associated products. In order to do this, and separate said hemp from the rest of the world of marijuana, a new definition was instituted for hemp, which came with two main stipulations, though one is not as clearly outright stated.

The first is that all hemp plants, and associated hemp products, must not surpass .3% THC. And the second is that the only thing legalized, are products directly made from the hemp plant, since nothing synthetically-derived fits the definition of hemp. This was backed up by the DEA in regards to a question asked about synthetic delta-8 THC. In its answer, the DEA referenced the definition of hemp, with that definition being:

“The plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol [(D9-THC)] concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”

Where do synthetics come in?

At no point does it say that synthetically-derived compounds are okay, and at no point does it say that a product can include hemp-derived compounds, but not be made completely from them. Thus, anything synthetically-derived, also doesn’t fit the definition, and remains under Schedule I. Why? Because synthetics of any Schedule I substance – or its analogues – (including THC), are also Schedule I, and therefore illegal, according to the Federal Analogue Act.

Why is all this talk of synthetics important? Because the cannabinoids sold are always synthetically made, even if its stated that they’re ‘hemp-derived’. This doesn’t mean that compounds like delta-8 and HHC aren’t naturally occurring, however, they occur in such small amounts, that rather than extract them directly from hemp, they are synthetically-derived from compounds like CBD. CBD and THC are currently the only two cannabinoids that exist in large enough quantities to directly use from extraction.

When it comes to compounds like delta-10 and THC-O-A, the ‘hemp-derived’ part is even more ambiguous, as these compounds are only synthetically made, and not found in nature at all. I should be clear here, ‘hemp-derived’ is being sold as a term that means ‘directly from hemp’, as this makes products fit under the definition of hemp. But what it actually means is ‘indirectly from hemp’, or ‘hemp parts used with synthetic processing’, and this no longer fits the definition.

South Dakota officially regulates delta-8 and other cannabinoids

There are two things to consider here. First, these cannabinoids have already created a widespread market. And though it’s a fringe market, it’s still there, online, as well as in brick and mortar stores. I say ‘stores’ and not ‘dispensaries’ because without regulation, these products are sold in tons of places outside dispensaries. The second thing to consider is that the cannabinoids themselves are fine, but the lack of regulation allows for seedy business techniques, dirty and mislabeled products, fake third party testing, and for chemical additives to be used that could be dangerous.

Which makes regulating the market, a much better idea than trying to backhandedly stop it through forcing sales platforms to stop selling products. This is what just happened with Shopify. Different states are making their own regulations for cannabis in general due to changing laws, and this new cannabinoid market is now factoring into new legislation.

delta-8 THC

In early 2022, The South Dakota House of Representatives initiated HB 1292 which is a bill that regulates cannabinoids delta-8 THC, HHC, and THC-O-A. The bill specifically seeks to set an age limit for sale and purchase of these cannabinoids, restricting anyone below the age of 21 from partaking. The bill doesn’t include anything else besides this idea of regulating their sale by age.

The bill, brought forth by republican representative Rep. Taylor Rehfeldt, first sought only to regulate delta-8, but was then expanded to include HHC and THC-O-A as well. An earlier bill in the session merely sought to outlaw these substances, but Rehfeldt introduced 1292 as an effort to responsibly regulate the substances instead.

Will it pass?

It did! After passing both the South Dakota House and Senate, the bill was signed into law by Gov. Kristi Noem on March 10th. Does this make all delta-8, HHC, and THC-O-A products legal to adults 21 and above? It’s hard to say, especially considering that the biggest issue in the field, is the question of regulating the actual products to make sure they are what they’re supposed to be, and to fit into laws regarding synthetics.

Bill author Rehfeldt admits that there’s more to be done in terms of regulating the industry. In regards to chemical additives, and to deal with these possible dangers, she states: “it will be important to address those issues with all stakeholders including public health, the hemp/marijuana industry, and the business community.” She stipulates that simply starting the process by setting an age limit, is a decent beginning measure.

Currently, the bill is very brief, only accounting for the age a person must be in order to buy these products. There is absolutely nothing in the bill that further regulates these products, or what’s in them. This promotes a lot of new questions. Like, are these compounds regulated the same way as regular cannabis? And, are synthetic versions allowed? And, if so, are there specific processing techniques that must be used? Without anything else said, it means South Dakota is literally promoting the dirty tactics of the cannabinoid industry, and offering no safety to consumers.

Into the future

I have yet to see anything further stated about how South Dakota plans to deal with this issue, though I do expect some sort of follow up. What’s weird about the whole thing, is why such a parse bill would be introduced, and then passed so easily. Perhaps this could be due to two different factors.

South Dakota regulates delta-8

First off, South Dakota legalized cannabis in 2020 via a ballot measure (54%), which should have included the state among 19 legalized states. In fact, South Dakota pulled double duty at the November 3rd elections, legalizing both medical and recreational cannabis with Measure 26, and Amendment A, respectively. In what I can only call a horribly corrupt tactic, South Dakota’s governor Kristi Noem conspired with local law enforcement to bring a case forward to invalidate Amendment A. They did this on the grounds that South Dakota only supports single ballot measures. The Supreme Court of the state backed Noem, and the legalization was taken away. Perhaps one reason for the new bill, is that blow-back from the removed legalization has inspired Noem to be a little looser if she wants to keep her seat.

The second thing to consider, is that these cannabinoids are based on hemp, even if they use synthetic processing techniques for the final product. This means the hemp industry wants the products to be legally available, because it spurs on the hemp industry. It has been reported that South Dakota wants to double its hemp-growing acreage, as well as to start fiber and seed processing within state. This is impressive considering South Dakota only legalized hemp production in 2020.

According to the USDA National Hemp Report for 2021, a total of 54,200 acres  of hemp were planted in the US, but only 33,500 acres were harvested. This is split into four categories: floral hemp (16,000 acres), fiber hemp (12,700 acres), grain hemp (8,255 acres), and seed hemp (3,515 acres). Hemp grown under protection is technically another category as well (358 acres). South Dakota came in 8th place with 1,850 acres planted, but had the highest harvest rate of any state with 1,700 of those acres harvested.

Of those 1,700 acres harvested, over 1,500 were dual purpose plants that can be used for both grain and fiber, which are harvested separately. South Dakota Industrial Hemp Association executive director Katie Sieverding used the report to ascertain that the value of South Dakota’s crop was $1,789,000 for grain hemp and $480,000 for fiber hemp in 2021.

When it comes to regulation, all hemp is regulated the same. And this is probably because, while there is differentiation in how the seeds are planted, and the processing methods after, all forms can produce CBD, except for seeds. So it’s quite possible that this new and growing hemp industry, also played a major role in South Dakota and its recent bill that regulates delta-8 and the cannabinoid market. A market which relies heavily on CBD, and therefore, hemp.

South Dakota is definitely promoting its newly won hemp industry, and the state is probably a little angry from having its voted-in recreational cannabis legalization taken away. How much these issues factor into South Dakota passing a law which regulates cannabinoids like delta-8, is hard to say. But the one thing for sure is, South Dakota certainly opened that door, and we can only speculate as to next moves.

Product Review: Herban Bud Blue Dream THC-O Disposable

Gone are the days when marijuana was the only THC source available, as the world is finally recognizing the merits of cannabinoid-infused products. Thanks to the innovations of modern science, new cannabinoids are being discovered (and created), leading to a fascinating world that offers a way to relax and soothe your weary mind. In today’s cannabinoid product review, I’ll be reviewing a disposable vape device called Blue Dream, a THC-O product from Herban Bud.

THC-O is actually a synthetic cannabinoid that is considered to be stronger than both Delta-8 THC and traditional Delta-9 THC from marijuana. I reviewed a Delta-8 THC vape cartridge from Herban Bud in one of our previous reviews and I was excited to see how their THC-O disposable cartridge performs. Before I get to the actual product review, I’d like to take a moment to briefly review the Herban Bud brand. Even if you’ve never heard of the Herban Bud brand, you’ll surely remember their name after this full-blown product review!

Here at CBD Testers, we love products! We love to try them and share what we learned with our readers. These Delta-8 THC strips are truly a unique product, and we’re excited to be among the first to try them. Herban Bud Overview

When it comes to premium hemp products, Herban Bud offers a sprawling selection of cannabinoid-infused products. The brand’s selection of THC-O products is limited to a single disposable device, but is available in six different strains of sativa, indica, and hybrid options. The disposable is sold at an attractive $49.99 price point and contains a full gram of THC-O distillate. Unlike other brands who cut their products with Delta-8 THC and CBD, the disposable contains two ingredients: pure THC-O and cannabis-derived terpenes. The THC-O strains are listed according to effects, making it easy for users to select the desired strain and effects.

Herban Bud emphasizes the purity of their products by subjecting them to independent third-party lab testing. The results of these tests are published on the product page, directly beneath the word Description. Since THC-O is somewhat of a new type of cannabinoid (albeit a synthetic one), there aren’t any customer reviews listed on the sites. Herban Bud describes some of the possible side effects of their THC-O, expected timeframe of the high, and how much more intense it is than marijuana or Delta-8 THC. In the following section, I’ll compare Herban Bud’s description with my own experiences and see how the two match up.

THC-O 1000mg Disposable Blue Dream Sativa Dominant THC-O Product Review

Herban Bud’s THC-O disposable devices are available in six different strains, but the one I’ll be reviewing today is a sativa-dominant hybrid called Blue Dream. The disposable came in a slim paper box with a small plastic window in the front that allowed me to see the black plastic disposable within. I opened the flap and pulled out a very lightweight cartridge that had a thin rubber cap on top of the mouthpiece. I removed the rubber cap and held the device to my nose, where I detected a light and sweet scent that made me extremely curious to take my first hit.

Then I noticed that there was a power button on the front of the device and a micro-USB port on the left side of the device. I realized that even though the device was disposable, it needed to be charged before use. I grabbed a micro-USB cord and plugged it in to charge. A bright red LED light indicated that the device was charging, and I took a few minutes to examine the device. There was a very small window on the device that showed the oil within, which was thick and did not move despite my vigorous shaking or tilting.

After about ten minutes I noticed the red light had turned off. I unplugged the microUSB and hit the power button. A bright green LED light now flashed, and it took a few rapid presses of the power button to turn the device on. I held the power button while taking a light inhale, and was delighted to discover that the pull was gentle and quite smooth. I did not feel any urge to cough and no tightening sensation in my lungs. The vapor itself was lightly sweet, almost like there was a hint of stevia sweetener in the oil. There was a very light piney flavor as well, but not overpowering or unbearable. I enjoyed taking two decent lung pulls and was tempted to take a third, but decided to wait a few minutes to ensure I didn’t take too much in a single dose.

I noticed a faint burning sensation in the back of my throat about three minutes after the second pull. I took a drink of water to quell the slight discomfort, and began to find ways to occupy myself until the high kicked in. I felt something after about 10 minutes. I noticed my vision was a little blurry and noticed a delicious tingling sensation in my hands, fat, arms, and face. It wasn’t as intense as the tingling I’ve experienced under a Delta-8 THC high, and I felt much more clear-headed as well. The high intensified gradually for the next 10 minutes, but it was smooth and comfortable. I noticed my mouth was slightly dry and my tongue clung to the roof of my mouth. My eyelids grew heavier and my face felt numb. I felt relaxed and slightly drowsy. I started to experience waves of warm euphoria along with a heightened sense of touch and taste.

I was very pleased to notice that while the high did feel more intense than a traditional Delta-8 THC high, I did not feel overwhelmed, overly anxious, or experience any spike in paranoia. The high lasted for several hours and I eventually went to sleep, where I slept soundly through the night and awoke feeling refreshed with no “hangover high” from the previous night. I highly recommend this lightweight and rechargeable disposable THC-O cartridge to anyone looking for a rich euphoric high that is perfect for unwinding at the end of a long day.

Final Thoughts on the Herban Bud THC-O Disposable Vape

Herban Bud may not have a lot of product variety when it comes to THC-O, but this lightweight and rechargeable disposable was truly a delight to use. I was surprised to see that it had to be charged prior to use, but was happy that it charged quickly. The Blue Dream had a deliciously sweet and light flavor that wasn’t overpowering and was smooth with each hit. I was very pleased that I didn’t feel the overwhelming need to cough after taking a hit, as that can be a deterrent for even the most experienced vapers and smokers. The high began gradually but kicked in fully after 20 minutes and lasted for several hours. I’ve read that some users experienced a high for nearly eight hours, so make sure you enjoy this particular cannabinoid when you have several hours to spare!

It’s important to understand that not everyone will experience the same effects, and that the high will vary based on a number of factors. Weight, age, metabolism, gender, previous exposure to THC, and many other factors play a major role in the intensity and effects of a THC-O high (or any high for that matter). It is crucial that you start off slowly with your dosages until you can accurately gauge how your body will react. Consuming more than the recommended dose (usually listed by the manufacturer) can result in extreme drowsiness and can even instill paranoia and anxiety. You should not attempt to operate a vehicle or other machinery while under the influence of a THC-O high, and always enjoy your high in a safe and calm environment.

In my next product review, I’ll be reviewing yet another unique product from Herban Bud, this time their Gorilla Glue HHC disposable cartridge. HHC is another unique cannabinoid that has recently gained quite a following from those who have tried it, and I’m excited to see how it compares against Herban Bud’s THC-O disposable and Delta-8 THC cartridge. Check back soon to see this and other fantastic product reviews of cannabinoid-infused products from renowned brands across the industry. I look forward to seeing you there!

How Binoid Does THC-O Right

If you’ve been keeping an eye on the hemp market lately, then you’ve noticed a rapidly growing trend of what are known as “alternative” or “rare” psychoactive cannabinoids.  These are cannabinoids that are legally derived from the hemp plant which are related to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and also cause a psychoactive high.  With over a hundred cannabinoids in the hemp plant, there are several ones that are intoxicating—THC-O acetate is without a doubt one of the most sought-after.

THC-O-acetate is a federally legal cannabinoid (2018 Farm Bill) that stands out from the others, because it’s created rather than extracted naturally from the plant.  THC-O is the result of mixing together tetrahydrocannabinolic acid or THCA (raw, acidic precursor of tetrahydrocannabinol) with acetic anhydride.  This process yields a THC cannabinoid that’s about three times as potent as delta 9 THC, while being known for its powerful feeling of euphoria, soothing body high, and potential for mild psychedelic effects at high enough doses.

It seems as though an influx of brands/manufacturers are launching products that highlight this powerful compound, but few companies can match the reputation of Binoid’s THC-O formulas.  Binoid was a pioneer in the THC-O game and has since remained one of the most trusted sources for the cannabinoid.  They were one of the first to launch a line of THC-O vape cartridges when it was first determined that the cannabinoid is federally legal, and has since expanded upon their initial lineup to offer a wide range of THC-O-infused product types, all made with the phenomenal quality standards that the brand was built on.

What to Look for When Shopping for a Quality THC-O Product

Are you a hemp connoisseur?  If so, then you know that today’s crowded hemp market isn’t all top-shelf quality.  Many companies want to get in on the action, without caring about the needs of customers.  The result is THC-O-acetate formulas that contain low-quality ingredients, use poor extraction techniques and contain too little THC-O to actually have a desirable or noticeable effect when consumed. Binoid has gone above and beyond to be transparent with customers in order to assure them that they’re getting the quality level they deserve.

So, what goes into a top-quality THC-O product?

#1: Third-Party Lab Reports

Whenever you are preparing to purchase a THC-O product, or any hemp product for that matter, you must look on the brand’s website for their third-party lab reports, also sometimes referred to as Certificates of Analysis (CoA). This means that the company had their batches of hemp extract analyzed by a state-authorized third-party testing facility, where it was tested for quality, purity, potency and federal compliance.

The lab reports are made available on the brand’s website so that customers can verify this information for themselves.  Binoid makes their lab reports easy to access so that customers can easily find all that they need to know before making a THC-O purchase.

#2: A Solid Company Reputation

It’s always important that a customer researches a brand before buying their hemp products for the first time.  Check out the company’s policies and practices, their shipping methods, terms for returns and refunds and so on.  Binoid’s reputation is exceptional, since they maintained professional and customer-oriented policies and are extremely transparent about their various methods.

Binoid offers fast and discreet free shipping on all orders, gives special offers regularly and even carries THC-O bundles for those who want to buy in bulk while saving money. Plus, they are known for their awesome promotions, such as the coupon code HIGHTIMES25 for 25% off your order, to make their products affordable for everyone to enjoy.

#3: Clean, Fresh and Carefully Sourced Ingredients

Naturally, a person buying a THC-O product is primarily interested in the THC-O inside the formula. But, it’s critical to read carefully through the other ingredients in the product, which should always be easy to find on the company’s website. Naturally, you want to avoid THC-O-acetate that’s formulated with synthetic ingredients, additives and cutting agents that don’t actually add value to the THC-O experience. Binoid is known for their use of clean, premium-quality ingredients in all of their formulas.

#4: Full Transparency

Brands that specialize in hemp products should maintain a seed-to-sale level of transparency, meaning that customers can access information about how the product was made starting with the source hemp material all the way to the formula of each product. It’s important to know things like whether or not the hemp is organic, how the cannabinoids are extracted and where the product is manufactured. Binoid is extremely thorough and transparent when it comes to their various manufacturing methods and practices.

The Utoya Brand

If you’re looking for a one-stop cannabinoid company, you’ll fall in love with the Utoya brand the moment you visit their website. The company offers a stunning assortment of every type of product you can think of, from familiar favorites like gummies and tinctures to rare finds like hash and moonrocks. The site has a bit of a unique layout in that they categorize everything by products instead of cannabinoids. For example, if you’re looking for a THC-O vape cartridge, you’ll have to navigate to the vape section and select the cannabinoid from the drop-down menu. In a way, this categorization allows you to see everything that Utoya has to offer instead of restricting your browsing to a specific cannabinoid.

Utoya has several different options when it comes to their vape cartridges: a single pack, a three pack, and a disposable. Each option is available in several different flavors and is sold for $32.99. If you need a vape device (called a battery) to use with your cartridge, Utoya offers a simple device in several colors for an extra $10. The cartridges themselves are not made with any cutting agents and contain a full gram of oil (900mg of THC-O and 100mg of trace terpenes and other cannabinoids. Keep in mind that cartridges contain a concentrated form of cannabinoids, so it’s best to start slowly and gradually increase the dose after you understand your body’s reaction to the initial dose.

Utoya goes above and beyond when it comes to their product descriptions, something that is extremely useful for beginner and advanced users alike. Each product contains a lengthy description about what the cannabinoid is, what to expect during your high, recommended dosage amounts, how long the high lasts, and other useful information tailored to the product and cannabinoid listed.

If you’re curious about the purity and potency or have general questions about cannabinoids, Utoya has a tab called Learning that features several topics in their drop-down menu including some Testing Results and how cannabinoids work naturally with your endocannabinoid system. Now that we’ve reviewed the Utoya brand, it’s time to check out their Raspberry Kush THC-O vape cartridge!

Utoya THC-O Vape Cartridge Review

Vape cartridges can seem like an intimidating option for new users because it requires a pen-style vape device with a 510-screw in connection. The cartridge screws into the base of the pen mod, and the pen mod itself must be charged and capable of firing at a certain temperature. A quick Google search will display sites that carry such hardware, and can be as inexpensive as $20 (although the more expensive ones can top $100).

The Utoya THC-O vape cartridge screwed in easily to the base of my vape pen (I use the Vuber Pulse Pen) and was ready to use instantly. I noted that the mouthpiece for the cartridge had a very wide bore tip, a stark contrast to the other duck-billed cartridges I’ve used in the past. The yellow oil in the cartridge was extremely thick and sludgy, and did not move at all despite tilting the device from several angles.

I held the device to my lips and pressed the firing pin. Vapor flowed into my mouth and I immediately tasted a sweet and fruity raspberry flavor. The entire hit was smooth and calming. I felt no urge to cough and no tightening sensation in my chest, which was surprising compared to other Delta-8 THC cartridges I’ve tried. The sweet flavor made me want to take more hits, but I decided to stop at three hits and see how the THC-O felt.

I noticed that the effects began much more gradually than traditional Delta-8 THC cartridges. While Delta-8 THC hits usually begin in under 5 minutes, the THC-O started to kick in after about 10 minutes. I noticed a familiar tingling in my hands, feet, and face and an enhanced sensitivity to touch. After half an hour, I felt more of the traditional effects of Delta-8 THC such as sleepiness, heavy eyelids, and warm euphoria.

I also felt a light dizziness, very brief paranoia, and some queasiness in my stomach, but nothing that detracted from the high. The high lasted for several hours, slowly increasing for about an hour. The full-blown high made me extremely relaxed and sleepy, and I experienced the “couch-lock” sensation very strongly. I easily slipped into a deep sleep and woke up feeling refreshed and invigorated.

On a side note, these cartridges are more of an advanced user item, but can be used by anyone with a bit of practice. Keep in mind that THC affects each person differently, depending on age, weight, metabolism, gender, previous exposure to THC, and much more. You should always consult your primary care physician before taking any cannabinoid for the first time. THC-O in particular is especially potent and may cause adverse reactions if you take too much in a single sitting, such as extreme drowsiness and paranoia. You should not attempt to operate machinery or vehicles while under the influence of a THC-O high. Lastly, no cannabinoid is ever intended to replace your current medication and should not be used to treat or cure any disease.

I was completely blown away by all that Utoya had to offer. From popular cannabinoids like CBD and Delta-8 THC to newer cannabinoids like THC-O and HHC, Utoya had an incredible selection of every type of product on the market. While I was expecting more of an intense high from the THC-O cartridge, it felt more like a prolonged Delta-8 THC high (which wasn’t a bad thing!).

I loved the sweet and fruity flavor along with the ease of use, and especially appreciated that I didn’t need to cough or experience a tightening in my chest. Sometimes cartridges can have a bit of a learning curve with the inhale technique and how long to hold the vapor in your lungs, and can cause the user to violently cough if not done properly.

The Raspberry Kush cartridge was beautifully designed with the wide-bore drip tip and company logo engraved into the metal. I loved that the intensity of the high built up over time and lasted for several hours, something that doesn’t usually happen with vape cartridges. Lastly, I deeply appreciated Utoya’s dedication to information presentation in the product description. Even as an experienced THC user, I was intrigued to read about the different types of cannabinoids, effects, and dosage amounts that Utoya lists for each product. It was truly an honor to review the Raspberry Kush THC-O vape cartridge from Utoya and I look forward to reviewing more of their products in the near future!
