MY STORY
Kerry Cannon is a Co-Director of The International Women’s Cannabis Coalition, a volunteer with VOW (Voices Of The Drug War) and founder of The Free Lance Gloor and
Keep Peggy And Glenn Free movements. She is originally from Southern California where her Cannabis Activism began in 2012, when local Medical Cannabis dispensaries were in danger of being banned by local governments across the Victory Valley. Kerry contributed patches to the Moms For Marijuana Cannabis quilt in 2013. She sewed patches for California, Colorado, Louisiana & a Breast Cancer patch honoring her grandma. She has been with The International Women’s Cannabis Coalition #TheIWCC since it’s founding as both a California and Washington state chapter leader.
In 2013, Kerry became a Safer Stenciler, painting shirts saying ‘marijuana is safer than alcohol’ and donating them to activists low on funds, following the Safer Shirts founder’s lead.
In 2014, Kerry was the San Bernardino county coordinator/ signature collector for CCHI 2014. The California Cannabis Hemp Initiate. A grassroots effort to legalize Cannabis based on Jack Herer’s vision.
In 2018 Kerry joined VOW (Voices Of War)
Kerry had moved to Washington state in 2015 and continues her activism. She strives to continue to overcome the daily challenges of a back injury that led Doctors to deem her completely unable to work again. She has been able to do so with Cannabis and Kratom replacing all of the pharmaceutical drugs she was once taking, along with proper nutrition, creativity, exercise, time in nature, seeking balance and honoring the experience of walking one’s unique path in life.
